POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position description establishes and describes the duties and responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Inspector at Acme Finishing Company, LLC.  The QA Inspector tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and maintains quality and reliability of products by performing the duties listed below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Selecting products for tests at specified stages in production process, and testing products for variety of qualities such as dimensions and performance
• Recording and verifying that final/in process inspection is being documented and maintained correctly
• Recording and verifying that washer titration is being documented and maintained correctly
• Recommending modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
• Assisting with the disposition of customer and/or internal nonconforming product
• Conferring with supervisor and/or managers about quality assurance of new products
• Setting up and performing destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance or material characteristics
• Performing weekly calibration on all inspection, measuring, and test equipment
• Assisting Production Line Supervisor in setting up wet and/or powder coat equipment
• Assisting in the gathering of necessary information for the creation of a customer Specification Sheet
• Updating customer Specification Sheets when necessary
• Creating Corrective Actions and helping in implementation of solutions
• Training of production line personnel on inspection criteria and processes
• Ability to spray customer provided material (samples) in both powder and/or liquid
• Performing other duties as assigned or directed by the Quality Assurance Manager
• Contacting any managers and/or supervisor in regard to any job

Key Competencies

• Reliably performs inspection and audit duties and notifies QA manager of non-conformances
• Assists in problem solving of quality issues
• Maintains test equipment calibration
• Creates Corrective Actions and helps in solution implementation
• Helps to train production line personnel in inspection criteria and processes
• Updates spec sheets promptly when notified of a change in processing procedure
