POSITION DESCRIPTION
Acme Finishing is seeking an organized, detail-oriented person to facilitate the transition of new business from sales through estimating to production, and to help grow the business at a rate of $2.5 million per year of new work.

Acme Finishing Company is a leader in powder and liquid coating for manufacturing companies that need reliable, consistent, on-time service because Acme is a trusted partner with the solid infrastructure and systems required to deliver quality parts on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
In partnership with the Acme team, the Project Coordinator’s main function will be helping to transition new work into the company, and to ensure the effective flow of information between sales, estimating, production, and customer service to meet the customer’s needs. The Project Coordinator will:

• Assist sales department in gathering information from customer to prepare for estimating process.
• Bridge the gap between estimating and operations. Participate in the research and development of each new project. Review customer’s specs and drawings and identify key requirements (quality, masking, etc.). Ensure all required materials are identified and available before the start of a new project. Be present at first run to ensure that the project is completed according to spec, within deadlines and on budget. Analyze runs, troubleshoot, and alert management if job is not running to spec or not profitable.
• Bridge the gap between production and customer service – identify and communicate issues and delays within Acme’s management team and to Customer Service: if we a commitment cannot be met, if there is abnormal fallout on a production run, etc.) – with the goal of eliminating customer “surprises”.
• Keep track of all stages of project by documenting and recording outcome in the Acme system.
• Audit and make changes as necessary to information contained in the Acme System as it relates to the customer requirements and internal production processes.
• Manage sample requests, sample scheduling, tracking, material ordering, etc.
• Manage new customer onboarding meetings/checklist.
• Enter new parts into the system, which includes taking pictures of the parts.
• Act as backup to the Estimator position.
• Act as backup to Customer Service position.
• Maintain customer information in Salesforce database.
• Participate in sales team activities: meetings, functions, trade shows, etc.
• Follow up on quotations.
• Develop relationships with Acme’s key vendors (powder, packaging, masking, etc…)
